More recently, Webrepublic has launched a subsidiary in South Africa to work hand-in-hand with our HQ in Switzerland. Our team in Cape Town has grown, and we are now looking for a Paid Social Media Consultant to expand our local presence into a large-scale operation.
As a Paid Social Media Consultant, you will be responsible for the strategic, operational, and creative implementation of international campaigns across various digital platforms, including search engines and social media networks. This role handles primary campaign planning, channel recommendations, performance and budget monitoring, dashboard creation, and translating campaign metrics into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Social Media Marketing Team Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Translate client marketing goals into high-impact paid social strategies, defining data-driven target audiences and building media plans based on campaign frameworks
- Build, structure, and launch target-driven campaigns across core platforms including Meta, TikTok Ads, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Snapchat
- Apply a technical understanding of pixels, conversion APIs, attribution modeling, and UTM parameters
- Drive continuous cross-channel campaign monitoring using core metrics (CPC, CPA, CTR, ROAS)
- Implement campaign tests and experimenting with new creative approaches, strategies and platform features for example: A/B testing, conversions lifts and brand lift studies
- Manage budgets and ensuring efficient media spend across accounts
- Generate performance reports and dashboards, analyzing and interpreting raw numbers into actionable insights
- Maintain strict brand safety and platform policy compliance
- Collaborate with platform representatives to understand algorithm updates and identify new growth opportunities
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Communications, or related field
- At least 3 years experience in paid media campaign management including strategy, optimisation and reporting.
- Working knowledge of GA4 and Looker Studio, including basic dashboarding and reporting
- Basic understanding of tracking such as pixels, third-party tracking or attribution tools
- Experience managing, adjusting, and forecasting ad budgets based on performance trends
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and identify optimisation opportunities
- Organized, proactive self-starter who takes project ownership
- Proficiency in G Suite
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Fluent English (German is a big plus)
- Valid RSA ID, legal right to work in SA
