Over the last decade, Webrepublic has grown from an ambitious startup into Switzerland’s leading digital marketing agency. Within Webrepublic we have launched RAWR, a brand dedicated to the world of Sports & Entertainment. RAWR is working with some of the largest brands in Sports and entertainment and we have recently been selected to support one of the largest football events in the world.

For that business, we are looking for a full-time, multi-faceted Senior Graphic Designer. With key clients such as FIFA and UEFA, among others, we are looking for a creative all-rounder who is well-versed in various design disciplines across B2B and B2C mediums and wants to combine that with a deep passion for sports, particularly soccer.

Key responsibilities
Your role will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • telling stories by creating engaging graphic content such as illustrations, infographics, presentations, videos and animations and multimedia design,
  • managing graphic design projects (largely digital) from conception to delivery,
  • utilising your skillset across multiple design disciplines within those projects, including but not limited to video and image editing, animation/motion design, post–production and illustration,
  • delivering those projects across various output formats and surfaces, from product and promotional assets to social media posts (and everything in between),
  • meeting deadlines set in collaboration with our Production Manager and the client interests they represent,
  • being part of a team of designers focused on ensuring quality and brand consistency standards are always met.

Qualifications and Skills
As an ideal candidate, you...

  • have at least 3 years of relevant work experience, with a notable element within the sports industry (ideally soccer),
  • have a proficiency of the various design-relevant tools within the Adobe creative suite,
  • have an eye-catching portfolio with design projects that showcase the variety of your skills and experience,
  • possess a proven track record of social media campaigns within that, ideally with a sports audience in mind,
  • have more than a passing understanding of the type of content that sits and succeeds across social media platforms, particularly in sports,
  • can work autonomously, can execute ideas quickly and have no issues to plan your time around deadlines,
  • are a team-player and always open to feedback from your colleagues,
  • possess, in best case, an understanding of responsive grids and the implementation of your designs (e.g. through HTML and CSS),
  • speak English fluently and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What we offer
On our side, we offer...

  • a dynamic work environment fostering personal growth and development,
  • opportunities to work on exciting projects with leading global brands,
  • learning from Subject Matter Experts across all digital marketing disciplines,
  • flat hierarchies and short decision paths, being part of a young, dynamic, and international team,
  • exposure to disciplines beyond your own skill set,
  • a vibrant office space in Cape Town and a flexible work environment (hybrid work),
  • a very competitive compensation package.
