Over the last decade, Webrepublic has grown from an ambitious startup into Switzerland’s leading digital agency. Recently, Webrepublic launched a subsidiary in South Africa, working hand in hand with our HQ in Switzerland. Our team in Cape Town has expanded, and we are now seeking a Multimedia Designer to elevate our local presence into a large-scale operation.
As a Multimedia Designer you will be creating suitable advertising materials for our clients' display, social media, and video campaigns as well as support our Creative & Art Directors in conceptualising campaigns. You will work interdisciplinary with our consultants from other units on campaign assets, landing pages, microsites, pitches, and campaign concepts. Together with motivated, creative, and energetic new Webrepublicans, we aim to keep the Swiss agency landscape on its toes.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Creative Director, your duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- layout, storyboard & produce assets for (digital) campaigns, including Video Ads, HTML5 Ads, and/or (Digital) Out Of Home materials,
- support and coordinate creative projects, working closely with the creative team, media, and client consultants to ensure seamless execution,
- work on pitch and client presentations to ensure consistency across the organisation and bring your visual eye to improve the look and feel of slide decks,
- prioritise quality and efficiency, applying the 80/20 principle to balance high-quality output with meeting deadlines,
- ensure consistency with client brand guidelines, including typography, grids, layouts, colours, and iconography.
Qualifications and Skills
As an ideal candidate, you must have the following:
- a design qualification with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience,
- proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects,
- basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript, or a willingness to learn,
- familiarity with web animation tools like Google Web Designer, Tumult Hype, or Adobe Animate, or a willingness to learn,
- strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively,
- confidence in discussing designs and ideas with internal stakeholders and clients,
- ability to execute ideas quickly, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines,
- self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently,
- fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
